  SPS Parmar is new Vigilance Chief

  Chandigarh, March 26, 2025: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government has transferred the Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau along with two Additional Director General of Police (ADGPs). The Home Department (Home-1 Branch) issued the transfer orders, reassigning key responsibilities within the state police force.
  
  As per the official notification:
  - IPS officer Surinder Pal Singh Parmar, previously serving as ADGP, Law and Order, has been appointed as the new Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, replacing G. Nageshwara Rao.
  - G. Nageshwara Rao, the outgoing Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, has been transferred as ADGP Provisioning relieving additional Sidhansu Kumar Srivastava from additional charge.
