Vigilance Awareness Week observed at SBS State University

Ferozepur, November 6, 2025: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau, Ferozepur, organised a special seminar at SBS State University, Ferozepur, as part of Vigilance Awareness Week. SSP Ferozepur, SBhupinder Singh, attended the program as the chief guest. Inspector Jagnadeep Kaur welcomed the chief guest and SSP Vigilance Bureau, Ferozepur, Manjit Singh.
The event aimed to promote ethical governance, transparency, and integrity among the public and government officials. The seminar highlighted the importance of collective participation in combating corruption and creating awareness among citizens about building a corruption-free society.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest emphasised that Vigilance Awareness Week is dedicated to encouraging honesty and moral conduct in public administration. He stated that the purpose is to make citizens more aware of the presence, causes, and consequences of corruption, and to inspire them to report corrupt practices to foster a fair and clean society.
Students of the university presented thoughtful speeches expressing strong arguments against corruption. Campus PRO Yashpal shared that ASI Kishan Chand and ADA Bikramjit Singh from the Vigilance Bureau, along with Assistant Professor Gurjeevan Singh from the university, also addressed the audience, urging collective responsibility in preventing corruption.
In his concluding remarks, SSP Manjit Singh thanked the participants and reiterated the message: “Vigilance is our shared responsibility.” Students who took part in the seminar were awarded certificates by the Vigilance Department.
