HP: CM Sukhu announces 4 % DA to employees and pensioners
Himachal will become a self-reliant state by 2027, there is no financial crisis in the state: Sukhu

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), October 11, 2024: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu announced to give a four percent installment of dearness allowance to the employees and pensioners of the state government from January 1, 2023, which will benefit 1 lakh 80 thousand employees and 1 lakh 70 thousand pensioners of the state.
He said that despite the serious financial situation, the state government has always been a well-wisher of the employees. He said that giving dearness allowance will put a burden of about Rs 600 crore on the state exchequer.
On the occasion of the Deepawali festival, the Chief Minister also announced that the salary and pension due for October of all employees and pensioners will be paid on October 28 this month.
He said that a budget provision of Rs 10 crore has been made for medical reimbursement to pensioners and instructions have been issued to all departments to settle all their pending medical reimbursement bills.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced to pay the entire pending arrears of pensioners aged 75 years and above.
On this occasion, he also announced to pay an additional installment of salary arrears of Rs 20,000 to class IV employees. The Chief Minister said that Himachal will become a self-reliant state by the year 2027. He said that there is no financial crisis in the state.
