Ferozepur Rail Division celebrates 68th Rail Week, honors outstanding railway employees
Ferozepur, February 3, 2025: Commemorating the launch of India's first train on April 16, 1853, between Bori Bunder and Thane, Indian Railways organizes Rail Week annually. In this regard, the 68th Rail Week Award Ceremony was held today at the Railway Officers’ Club, Ferozepur.
The event was presided over by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Sanjay Sahu, with the presence of Additional Divisional Railway Manager Rajendra Kumar Kalra, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Ranjana Sehgal, along with other officers, railway employees, and representatives from unions, associations, and federations.
The ceremony commenced with the recognition of outstanding railway employees for their exceptional service in 2023. A total of 50 individual awards were presented to employees who demonstrated excellence in their respective fields.
Addressing the gathering, DRM Sanjay Sahu applauded the officers and staff for Ferozepur Division’s achievements across various operational areas. He highlighted the division's infrastructure development and service improvements while congratulating all the awardees and their families.
