Chandigarh, March 6, 2025 – BJP national secretary and Delhi minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has categorically ruled out any future alliance between the BJP and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in Punjab. He asserted that the party will continue to contest elections independently.
Speaking at a press conference at the Punjab BJP office, Sirsa stated, "We fought the 2022 Assembly elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections alone in Punjab, and we will continue to fight independently in the future."
Taking aim at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Sirsa accused him of attempting to control Punjab. "Kejriwal, who once saw himself as the owner of Delhi, is now not even a tenant there," he remarked.

He also urged voters in Ludhiana to reject the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate, Sanjeev Arora. "Elect anyone else, but do not let Kejriwal tighten his grip on Punjab," he said.
Dismissing speculation of a BJP-SAD alliance, Sirsa made it clear that the BJP is determined to carve its own political path in Punjab without partnering with former allies.
