Punjab CM Mann presents 'Rangla Punjab' model at NITI Aayog meeting, opposes CISF deployment at dams

New Delhi, May 24, 2025: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann participated in a crucial NITI Aayog meeting today, where he presented the state's development blueprint under the vision of ‘Rangla Punjab’, aiming for an annual GDP growth rate of over 8% by 2047.
- Punjab Vision 2047: Aims to transform the state with consistent GDP growth above 8%.
- Anti-Corruption Drive: Through the state helpline 1076, over 406 services have been delivered to citizens’ doorsteps, significantly reducing corruption.
- Healthcare Achievements: 3.34 crore patients have received treatment at Aam Aadmi Clinics and Ayushman Bharat centres.
- Public Health & Wellness: Around 1.5 lakh people have joined “CM Di Yogshala”, promoting a healthy lifestyle.
- Road Safety Improvements: The newly established Road Safety Force has helped reduce accidents and assisted over 30,000 individuals.
- Educational Reforms: Punjab is undergoing an education revolution, with 118 “Schools of Eminence” and 437 “Schools of Happiness” under development.
- Rural Infrastructure: All villages in Punjab now have gyms and playgrounds, with electricity and water facilities extended to 12,581 villages.
- Women Empowerment: The Mann government has introduced 33% reservation for women in government jobs and provided free bus travel to over ₹13 crore worth of beneficiaries.
