Chandigarh, July 16, 2025: On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, Trident Group proudly joins with the global mission of empowering young minds through industry-relevant skill development.
The 2025 theme—Youth Empowerment through AI and Digital Skills—resonates deeply with Trident’s vision of building a skilled and self-reliant India.
In a significant move towards youth empowerment, Trident Group has signed five Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) under the Dual System Training (DST) scheme, offering six months of On-the-Job Training (OJT) to 100 students in high-demand trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Sewing Technology, and Textile Wet Processing Technician at Trident’s facilities at Barnala. To support the trainees, Trident will provide a monthly stipend of ₹18,000 to each participant during the training period.

Further strengthening its leadership in textile education, Trident has partnered with National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) Govt of India, Ludhiana to establish a Center of Excellence with aim to become a hub of innovation, training, and excellence in the textile sector.
Rajinder Gupta, Chairman Emeritus of Trident Group, has been appointed Chairman of the Institute Management Committee (IMC) for this initiative.
Extending its commitment further, Trident is actively engaging with government ITI’s through On-the-Job Training (OJT) and apprenticeship programs across Punjab and Haryana under National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
On this occasion, Trident reaffirms its commitment to bridging the gap between education and employment—empowering youth with the skills needed to thrive in a digitally driven future.
