Ladakh Lt Governor pays obeisance at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib
DSGMC President Harmeet Singh Kalka honours him with Siropa

New Delhi, July 22, 2025: The newly appointed Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, today paid obeisance at the historic Gurdwara Bangla Sahib in New Delhi, seeking blessings from Sri Guru Granth Sahib for strength and wisdom in his new role.
He was warmly received by Harmeet Singh Kalka, President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), who honoured him with a siropa (robe of honour) and a memento as a gesture of respect and goodwill from the Sikh community.
During their interaction, Kalka congratulated Shri Gupta on his appointment and extended heartfelt wishes for a successful and impactful tenure as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.

He prayed for Waheguru’s divine guidance in his service to the nationKalka also highlighted DSGMC’s commitment to serving humanity, promoting spiritual values, and fostering peace and unity.
He assured full support and cooperation in initiatives that align with national interest.Acknowledging the DSGMC’s contributions, Shri Gupta praised its world-class healthcare facilities offered at nominal costs, calling it an inspiring example of community service on a global scale.
In a moment of cultural and spiritual bonding, Shri Gupta’s visit was seen as a reaffirmation of shared values of inclusive governance and interfaith respect.
Speaking to media, S. Kalka noted that Shri Gupta, who completed his schooling and college education in Punjab, has committed to participating in the upcoming 350th martyrdom anniversary commemorations of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib.
Senior DSGMC officials, including General Secretary Jagdip Singh Kahlon, were also present during the visit.
