Advanced Color Doppler Ultrasound installed at Civil Hospital Panchkula; Haryana to upgrade state hospitals: Health Minister Arti Singh Rao
Chandigarh, October 21, 2025: Under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the state government has installed an advanced Color Doppler Ultrasound machine at Civil Hospital, Panchkula, as part of a wider push to strengthen public healthcare infrastructure. Health Minister Arti Singh Rao said the approximately Rs 1 crore system is a Diwali-time addition that will significantly expand high-quality diagnostic access for district patients.
The minister said the new machine will aid timely and accurate diagnosis for pregnant women, cardiac patients, and others with serious conditions, reducing referrals and improving outcomes within the district. Color Doppler technology helps assess blood flow and vascular conditions, supporting obstetric, cardiac, and emergency evaluations with greater precision.
Reiterating the government’s focus on equitable access, she said the aim is to equip all civil hospitals with modern equipment and specialist doctors so that essential services are available closer to home. The Panchkula unit will be made operational shortly, benefiting thousands of residents.
Arti Singh Rao added that additional modern medical equipment will be rolled out across hospitals in Haryana in the coming months to provide safe, reliable, and accessible care at the nearest health facilities. Hospital authorities will issue operational timelines and patient guidance as the installation and calibration process concludes.
