Tarn Taran (Punjab), November 4, 2025:The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday staged a massive protest in Tarn Taran against Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, accusing him of making derogatory and casteist remarks against a Scheduled Caste Congress leader.
Led by Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, the demonstration saw hundreds of AAP workers and supporters marching through the town, demanding Warring’s expulsion from the Congress and an unconditional public apology.

During the protest, party workers burnt an effigy of Raja Warring, shouting slogans such as “Raja Warring Haye Haye” and “Congress Murdabad.” The protesters also gheraoed the local Congress office, condemning the party’s leadership for remaining silent on the controversy.
AAP leaders asserted that Warring’s comments reflect a “casteist mindset” and are an insult to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s ideals and to the Scheduled Caste community. They urged the Congress to take strict disciplinary action if it genuinely upholds the values of social justice and equality.
Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that AAP would continue its fight against caste-based discrimination, emphasizing that the protest was not politically motivated but aimed at defending the dignity and respect of all citizens.
