Punjab to host light, sound shows on Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350 Martyrdom in four districts on Nov 11

Chandigarh, November 9, 2025: Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond announced that the next phase of the Light and Sound Shows dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji will be organized on November 11 at Amritsar, Ferozepur, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali), and Sangrur.
These events, part of the state government’s ongoing commemorative series, aim to portray the life, teachings, and supreme sacrifice of the Ninth Sikh Guru, inspiring people to uphold the values of faith and humanity.
The Minister said that the shows have received an overwhelming response in their earlier editions held across eight districts, reflecting the deep reverence of Punjabis towards Guru Sahib’s legacy.
He added that subsequent shows will take place on November 14, 17, and 20 across Ludhiana, Kapurthala, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Barnala, Tarn Taran, Moga, Bathinda, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Malerkotla, Sri Anandpur Sahib, and Mansa, featuring the participation of various Cabinet Ministers and Members of Parliament.
“The overwhelming public participation shows how strongly the people of Punjab are connected to the teachings of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. These events are not just tributes but living lessons in courage, sacrifice, and unity,” Sond said.
