Ferozepur, November 19, 2025:The Ferozepur police have arrested two youths — Harsh and Kanav — in connection with the murder of Naveen Arora, son of senior RSS leader Baldev Raj Arora. Naveen was shot dead on November 15 by unidentified assailants while returning home after closing his cloth shop.
SSP Bhupinder Singh said nine special teams were formed to investigate the case. CCTV footage, technical surveillance and field inquiries led to identifying all those involved. According to the SSP, the murder was planned on November 13—Kanav’s birthday—by Kanav, Harsh, Badal and other associates at Kanav’s residence. The accused had procured weapons from Uttar Pradesh and conducted a recce a day before the killing.
After the shooting, the two gunmen escaped on a motorcycle with help from Harsh and Kanav. Police have recovered mobile phones from the arrested accused, and their interrogation is underway. The remaining suspects will be arrested soon, the SSP said.
Earlier, an unverified letter circulated on social media claiming responsibility in the name of the “Sher-e-Punjab” brigade, but police said it appeared to be an attempt to mislead the investigation. Family sources maintain that Naveen had no personal or financial disputes.
