Dr. Balbir Singh inspects ‘Nigah Langar’ eye camp, reviews medical arrangements for 350th Martydom anniversary

Sri Anandpur Sahib (Punjab), November 23, 2025:Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh on Sunday conducted a comprehensive inspection of the health facilities, including a special ‘Nigah Langar’ eye checking camp and a medical camp, established at an Aam Aadmi Clinic here to cater to the lakhs of devotees attending the events to commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
During his visit, the Health Minister shared significant outcomes from the 'Nigah Langar' camp, informing that as many as 5000 devotees have already had their vision tested. Of these, 2000 individuals have been provided with free spectacles, and 39 have successfully undergone cataract surgeries.
Detailing the extensive healthcare infrastructure put in place, Dr Balbir Singh stated that 24-hour Emergency Services are fully operational in Ropar, Kiratpur Sahib, and Sri Anandpur Sahib. Additionally, Critical Care Services have been established at Sri Anandpur Sahib and Ropar to handle any serious medical situations.
He said that 39 Aam Aadmi Clinics are operational across the event locations at Sri Anandpur Sahib where people can avail medicines and get their tests done.
Sharing the health report for Sunday, Dr Singh disclosed that 1822 patients availed services at the Aam Aadmi Clinics set up in Sri Anandpur Sahib, and 174 lab tests were conducted.
To ensure swift medical response, the Punjab Government has deployed a robust fleet of 31 ambulances, which includes 24 Basic Life Support and 7 Advanced Life Support Ambulances, stationed at strategic locations round the clock. Special blood donation camps are also being organized across the event area.
