  Chandigarh/Patiala, December 14, 2025: A 92 year old lady casted her vote in Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections in Patiala Block as polling was underway throughout the state.
  
  Smooth polling was underway and there is no report of any untoward incident so far around 10.00 AM after two hours of polling.
  
  A total of 357 seats of 23 Zila Parishads and 2863 seats of 154 Block Samiti are undergoing polls. 44,000 security personnel have been deployed for smooth conduct of polls. 93,000 elections officials are conducting polls.
