Chandigarh, January 2, 2026:Senior BJP leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan on Thursday issued a strong statement alleging that self-styled SFJ general counsel Gurpatwant Singh Pannu and his alleged handler J.S. Dhaliwal are operating as ISI-backed propaganda agents, asserting that their activities amount to foreign-sponsored sabotage against India.
In a series of posts shared across multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Threads and X, Grewal said such actions should not be misrepresented as activism or dissent. “This is paid treachery and an open attack on the unity and integrity of Bharat,” he stated.
Grewal strongly condemned alleged threats related to disrupting the National Anthem in Punjab’s schools, calling them a deliberate attempt to poison young minds. He described Punjab as the sacred land of Gurus, saints and martyrs, rooted in sacrifice, discipline and service, and not a platform for what he termed foreign intelligence agencies to spread hatred.
The BJP leader said Punjab’s elders have always raised their children to serve society, protect families and uphold honour, not to become tools of overseas handlers. He asserted that anyone attempting to push the youth of Punjab towards violence and anarchy must face complete isolation and strict legal action.
Alleging that Gurpatwant Singh Pannu exploits vulnerable youth through money, misinformation and false promises, Grewal said such activities destroy families and society. He described these actions as “moral corruption and political poison.”
Grewal urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the National Investigation Agency to take swift and decisive action. He also appealed to External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar and the Ministry of External Affairs to expose the alleged anti-India conspiracy at international forums and publicly name those backing it.
Additionally, he called upon the Governor of Punjab, the Director General of Punjab Police and all state agencies to act firmly on the ground without delay.
Condemning what he described as “anti-national forces,” Grewal said Punjab and India would not bow to external pressure. He warned that the Government of Pakistan, its Prime Minister’s Office, ISPR and ISI must recognise that such narratives have been exposed globally and will not succeed in weakening India.
