Moga district tops Punjab in NITI Aayog’s Sampoornata Abhiyan
Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria honours DC Sagar Setia with a medal and certificate for outstanding performance

Moga (Punjab) ,February 20, 2026 : Moga district has achieved outstanding results in health, education, and agriculture under NITI Aayog’s Sampoornata Abhiyan (part of the Aspirational Districts and Blocks Programme).
In a ceremony held in Chandigarh on Friday, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria presented Deputy Commissioner Sagar Setia with a medal and certificate in recognition of this outstanding performance.
Under the campaign, districts and blocks were tasked with achieving targets on 6 key indicators. Moga excelled by fully meeting 4 out of 6 indicators at both district and block levels — the highest performance in Punjab.
Deputy Commissioner Sagar Setia expressed pride in the achievement, crediting effective implementation of government schemes at the grassroots level.
Among the areas where Moga performed very well were full immunisation of children aged 9–11 years, complete nutrition support for pregnant women, distribution of books to students, proper electricity supply in schools, and issuance of Soil Health Cards to help farmers use the right nutrients for their land.
He thanked all district officials and the people of Moga for their hard work and said this achievement will encourage everyone to work with even more dedication in the future.
