Kuljit Singh Bedi, the Deputy Mayor of SAS Nagar Municipal Corporation, has called for urgent action to address the deteriorating condition of key roads in Mohali. During a meeting with Sakshi Sahni, the Chief Administrator of GMADA (Greater Mohali Area Development Authority), Bedi emphasized the pressing need for repair and development work in the city.
In a formal written submission, Deputy Mayor Bedi highlighted the poor state of the road adjoining the Phase 6 Bus Stand and the stretch from Kumbhra to Bawa White House. These areas, he noted, have been neglected for far too long, causing inconvenience to commuters and posing serious safety risks.
"I have consistently raised this issue from time to time and held meetings with the concerned authorities," Bedi stated. "There can be no compromise when it comes to public safety."
The Deputy Mayor's proactive approach reflects his commitment to ensuring better infrastructure for the residents of SAS Nagar. The demand for immediate action underscores the importance of maintaining safe and well-developed roads, which are crucial for both daily commuting and the overall development of the region.
Residents of Mohali are hopeful that this renewed push by Deputy Mayor Bedi will lead to swift action by GMADA and other relevant authorities to address these pressing concerns.
