Bathinda, March 26 – The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), under the dynamic leadership of Sukhbir Singh Badal, is steadily fortifying its political presence across Punjab, with renewed focus on grassroots-level organization and public engagement. Baljit Singh Bir Behman, Vice President of the party, emphasized the party’s commitment to addressing public concerns and expanding its influence ahead of the upcoming elections.
Bir Behman highlighted the party’s ongoing efforts to connect with people through worker meetings, public relations campaigns, and initiatives aimed at addressing pressing public issues. He noted a growing trust among the masses towards SAD, with increasing numbers of youth and other demographic groups joining the party.
"The Shiromani Akali Dal has always prioritized the welfare of farmers, workers, and all sections of society. Our objective is to safeguard their interests and resolve their problems by listening to their concerns and taking systematic action," he stated.
In a move aimed at bolstering SAD’s presence in Bathinda city, party president Sukhbir Singh Badal has appointed Gursewak Singh Mann as the President of the urban unit. Mann, a young leader known for his active involvement in public issues and his previous tenure as a member of the Municipal Corporation Bathinda, brings fresh energy to the party’s urban organizational framework.
According to Bir Behman, Mann’s appointment is a strategic decision to strengthen the party’s base among the youth and further consolidate its position in Bathinda. "Gursewak Singh Mann has consistently prioritized the concerns of the people.
His proactive approach and dedication make him an ideal choice for this responsibility. With his leadership, we are confident that the party will gain new momentum in Bathinda," Bir Behman remarked.
The appointment of Mann signals SAD’s intent to engage more actively with Punjab’s youth, who represent a significant portion of the electorate. By involving young leaders like Mann, the party aims to address key issues that resonate with younger generations while fostering a sense of inclusivity within its ranks.
The Akali leader further said “As the state gears up for elections, the Shiromani Akali Dal is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to expand its reach and address public grievances.
The party’s grassroots initiatives and strategic appointments underscore its determination to emerge as a strong political force in Punjab”.
