Counter Intelligence arrests accused with Ferozepur Arrests Accused with heroin, pistol
Ferozepur, March 28, 2026: Acting on specific intelligence, Counter Intelligence Ferozepur achieved a major success by arresting one accused and recovering heroin and illegal arms from his possession.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Gursewak Singh Brar, AIG Counter Intelligence Ferozepur, and the leadership of Inspector Baldev Singh Patli, Incharge Counter Intelligence Ferozepur.
According to official information, on March 27, 2026, a team led by Sub-Inspector Gurminder Singh conducted a raid based on a tip-off from a confidential informant. The team apprehended Nishan Singh, son of Mahinder Singh, resident of Basti Bagh under, Police Station City Ferozepur, from the area of Khuh Mohar Singh Wala near village Saide Ke.
During the search, the police recovered 101 grams of heroin, a .30 bore foreign-made pistol along with an empty magazine, and one Oppo mobile phone from the accused.
In this connection, has been registered at Police Station Sadar Ferozepur under Sections 21/61/85 of the NDPS Act and Sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act.
Police officials further revealed that the accused was previously involved in a case of firing between two gangster groups in City Ferozepur in January 2026 and had been absconding since then.
The accused was produced before the Court and has been remanded to police custody. Officials stated that sustained interrogation is underway and more crucial disclosures are expected in the coming days.
