Breaking: Laljit Bhullar’s police remand extended by 3 days

Amritsar (Punjab), March 29, 2026: A local court in Amritsar on Sunday extended the police remand of Laljit Singh Bhullar by three days for further investigation.
The accused was produced before the court of Judicial Magistrate Shivani, where police sought additional custody to question him over mobile phone data and CCTV footage. The prosecution had demanded a five-day remand, but the court granted three days.
Advocate Heera Singh informed the media about the development after the hearing. Bhullar’s wife was also present in court but maintained distance from the media and did not make any statement.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, with focus on examining digital evidence.
On March 23, Laljit Singh Bhullar was arrested by the police in connection with the alleged suicide of District Manager Gagandeep Singh Randhawa.
