Chandigarh/Kurali, March 29, 2026: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders and workers held a protest during the visit of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini to Kurali on Sunday, raising concerns over inter-state water issues and pending financial dues to Punjab.
The protest was led by Kharar MLA Anmol Gagan Maan, along with AAP Punjab Youth Wing leader Parminder Singh Goldy and district president Prabhjot Kaur. Party leaders alleged inconsistency in the BJP’s stance on water-sharing between Punjab and Haryana and criticised the Centre over the non-release of the Rural Development Fund and flood relief assistance.
AAP leaders said Punjab had suffered heavy losses during floods and urged the Centre to provide due financial support. They also appealed to people to remain aware of the issues concerning the state’s interests.
