Senior Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officer Poonam Singh, a distinguished member of the 2014 batch, has officially assumed the role of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) in Mansa. With a wealth of administrative experience and a proven track record, Singh is poised to bring dynamic leadership to the district.
Poonam Singh's career in public administration has been marked by key assignments in several major districts. Prior to this role, she served as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Sardulgarh subdivision in Mansa district, where she was instrumental in implementing government initiatives and addressing local concerns.
Additionally, Poonam Singh has held the position of Assistant Commissioner in Mansa, further solidifying her understanding of the district's administrative framework.
Her professional journey also includes notable tenures as Additional Deputy Commissioner in Bathinda and Ludhiana, where she managed a range of critical responsibilities. Her leadership in these roles was characterized by a focus on effective governance and the successful execution of development projects.
Speaking with APS Sidhu after assuming office, Singh outlined her vision for Mansa's development. She emphasized her commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of ongoing development projects and various government welfare schemes. "My foremost priority is to work towards the holistic development of the district while addressing public grievances promptly," she stated.
Singh also highlighted the importance of transparent and people-centric governance.
