New Delhi/Chandigarh, August 8, 2026: US has not sought extradition of suspended Punjab police SHO Gurinderjit Singh in extortion case. This was disclosed by Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh in reply to question by Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal.
It is worth mentioning here that US security agencies had claimed that SHO Gurinderjit Singh has conspired with Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang to extort Rs. 4 crore from a Punjabi family based in USA which belonged to Punjab.
