MLA Bhullar hands over property ownership cards to 49 beneficiaries under ‘Mera Ghar-Mere Naam’ Scheme
Ferozepur, October 12, 2026: Ferozepur Urban MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar distributed property ownership cards to 49 beneficiaries of village Padhri under the Punjab Government’s ‘Mera Ghar-Mere Naam’ scheme, aimed at granting ownership rights to residents living within the Lal Lakir (red line) areas.
Addressing a function organised at village Padhri, MLA Bhullar congratulated the beneficiaries and said the primary objective of the scheme, launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, was to provide formal ownership rights to every eligible family residing within the Lal Lakir areas of Punjab.
He said many families in villages had been living within the Lal Lakir for decades but faced difficulties due to the absence of formal ownership records. The scheme, he said, had addressed these long-standing issues by providing legal recognition of their property rights.
Bhullar said the people-oriented initiative had strengthened the dignity and security of Lal Lakir residents. With formal ownership rights, people would have greater confidence to maintain and improve their homes and make long-term plans. They would also be able to buy and sell their properties, while complete details of the properties would now be recorded in the Revenue Department’s records.
The beneficiaries who received the property cards expressed gratitude to the Punjab Government and MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar for the initiative.
Tehsildar Ferozepur Harinder Pal Singh, Market Committee Chairman Harmeet Singh Khai, Block Samiti Chairman Dilbag Singh Nanda, Gurbhej Singh and other prominent persons were also present on the occasion.
