Education Deptt organizes 6-Day Inter-State Educational Tour for 55 Meritorious Students
Ferozepur, February 11, 2025: In an effort to make science more engaging and promote interest in the subject, the Education Department organized a six-day inter-state educational tour for 55 outstanding Class 11 science students from various blocks of Ferozepur district. The tour, conducted under the National Innovation Campaign and guided by the State Educational Research and Training Council, Punjab, was led by District Education Officer (Sec. Edu.) Mrs. Munila Arora and Deputy DEO (Sec. Edu.) Dr. Satinder Singh. The students visited Jaipur, Agra, and Delhi from February 4 to February 10, 2025, exploring several scientific and historical landmarks.
Providing details about the initiative, Tour Nodal Coordinator and Principal Anukul Panchi stated that the objective of the tour was to generate interest in science and encourage students to enroll in the science stream. The students were selected based on merit from each block, and the entire cost of the tour was covered by the department to motivate them.
During the tour, Lecturer Lalit Kumar shared that students visited Science Park, Nahargarh Biological Park, Jaipur Zoo, Jantar Mantar, Jaipur Fort, City Palace, and Hawa Mahal in Jaipur. In Agra, they explored Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, while in Delhi, they visited National Science Centre, National Craft Museum, and India Gate. He emphasized that the tour was highly informative and beneficial for the students.
Accompanying teachers Manoj Kumar, Mahinder Singh, Rajni Jagga, and Rajni Bala provided insights into the historical significance of these landmarks.
Students including Himani, Shreya, Jaskirat Kaur, Amanpreet Kaur, Prince Kamboj, Gurkirat, and Jashanpreet Singh praised the department for this initiative, calling it a highly enriching and valuable learning experience.
