Chandigarh, June 26, 2025: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced today that joining orders for approximately 7,500 Group-D posts will be issued soon. The declaration was made during a press conference following a Cabinet meeting in Chandigarh.
Speaking on the Common Eligibility Test (CET), the Chief Minister said that 13.48 lakh youth have registered this year, marking a significant increase from 11 lakh last year.
He acknowledged technical issues due to heavy traffic on the SARAL portal, but assured that over 6 lakh youth from BC-A, BC-B, and Scheduled Caste categories were able to download their caste certificates and complete their registration.
Importantly, he clarified that students unable to obtain caste certificates in time will still be allowed to appear for the CET, and pending formalities will be handled alongside the examination process.
The Chief Minister also addressed employment reforms, revealing that all government departments have been instructed to rationalize posts based on current needs and send requisition letters to the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC).
“Some old posts are redundant, while new positions are being created to meet modern requirements. This is a continuous and evolving process,” he said.
When asked about the ongoing student protests at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, CM Saini urged students to focus on their education and not fall prey to political agendas.
“They are all our children. It’s good to take interest in politics, but now is the time for them to study and build a strong future,” he said, encouraging them to make their families and the state proud.
Responding to a question on law and order, he emphasized that ensuring safety for all citizens remains a key goal. “The police department is acting promptly and effectively, and I appreciate their dedication,” he added.
The press conference was attended by Sh. K.M. Pandurang, Director General, Department of Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture, and Sh. Praveen Attrey, Media Secretary to the Chief Minister.
