BATHINDA, 30 June 2025:
To enhance citizen-centric services for the public, the Punjab Government, under the proficient leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is introducing the 'Easy Registry' system, which will be completed in just 48 hours.
This announcement was made by Deputy Commissioner Showkat Ahmad Parray during a meeting with Waseqa Nawees and Vakil Sahibans. During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Showkat Ahmad Parray stated that the general public will no longer have to endure long waits in offices or engage with agents or middlemen, as all necessary information from start to finish will be accessible via mobile, ensuring a swift and transparent process.
The Deputy Commissioner further mentioned that following the launch of this initiative, individuals will not need to visit the local sub-registrar office for land and property registration; they can choose any sub-registrar office within the district that suits them. He added that service assistants can also be summoned to homes through the helpline number 1076 for document preparation. This will significantly benefit rural families, senior citizens, working professionals, and those unable to travel.
Deputy Commissioner Showkat Ahmad Parray indicated that under the new system, individuals will receive all pertinent information regarding document submission for registration, approval, payment, and the time required to visit the office via WhatsApp, keeping them informed at every step. He noted that features such as online document submission, digital advance verification, and the ability to select a convenient time for visiting the Sub-Registrar office for registration will be available, eliminating the need for citizens to stand in long queues or make frequent office visits.
Additionally, arrangements have been established for individuals to draft the sale deed themselves.
Furthermore, service assistants will provide the option to prepare registration documents at home,
