Punjab School Education Board to launch Entrepreneurship curriculum for Class 12
Chandigarh, November 27, 2025:
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is set to introduce an Entrepreneurship curriculum for Class 12 students, completing a two-year program started with the Business Blaster course for Class 11 in 2022-23. This initiative aims to foster innovation, self-reliance, and job creation among Punjab’s youth, announced Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains.
Entrepreneurship has been made a compulsory subject in 3,692 senior secondary schools, with 10,382 teachers and 231 master trainers trained through 104 sessions. The curriculum and textbooks for Class 12 are ready ahead of schedule for the 2026-27 academic year, benefiting approximately 5.60 lakh students.
The comprehensive curriculum will equip students to transform business ideas into viable ventures, covering startup challenges, legal procedures, finance, budgeting, and more, preparing Punjab’s youth to be future job creators and economic drivers.
This initiative fulfills the Punjab Government’s commitment under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to prepare students with the practical mindset and skills necessary for entrepreneurship, contributing to the state’s economic development.
