CGC University Mohali hosts annual Freshers’ Party ‘Parichay 2026’ with music, fashion and star performances

Mohali (Punjab), September 12, 2026: CGC University, Mohali, welcomed its new students with its annual freshers’ party, ‘Parichay 2026’, bringing together music, dance, fashion and entertainment on the university campus.
The event provided freshers an opportunity to interact with each other, showcase their talent and begin their university journey on a lively note. Students presented energetic dance performances and stage acts, while a fashion show highlighted their style, confidence and personality.
The Mr Freshers and Miss Freshers competition was one of the major attractions of the event, with students showcasing their confidence, talent and individual personalities.
The evening also featured performances by rapper RCR Rapstar and Tarkash Band, while singer Akhil Sachdeva entertained the audience with his musical performance.
Punjabi actors Mandy Takhar and Satwinder Singh also attended the event as part of the promotional activities for the upcoming Punjabi film Tutt Peni Angreji Ne. They interacted with students and added to the entertainment quotient of the evening.
Speaking on the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, Founder and Chancellor, CGC University, Mohali, said that every new beginning comes with the promise of something special. He said Parichay celebrates the students, their dreams, talent and potential.
Arsh Dhaliwal, Managing Director, CGC University, said that Parichay reflects the vibrant spirit of university life, where new relationships are formed and aspirations begin to take shape. He welcomed the new students and expressed happiness over their participation in the celebrations.
