CGC Landran celebrates Teachers’ Day

Chandigarh, September 5, 2026: CGC Landran celebrated Teachers’ Day with fervour by organizing a special program ‘Euphoria 2026.’ Faculty members had a gala time participating in cultural presentations and fun games at the event.
The institution also felicitated 270 members of faculty honouring and recognising their exceptional service, dedication and outstanding contributions towards enhancing the quality of academics through best teaching learning processes.
While 32 teachers were honoured with the Best Teacher Award citations, 160 teachers were commended for outstanding achievements in the field of research, innovation and patent filing. Educators associated with CGC Landran through 20 years, 15 years and 10 years of dedicated service were also honoured at the celebratory event.
Gracing the occasion with their presence were Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran; Parampal Singh Dhillon, Vice Chairman; Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, CGC Landran, Directors and HoDs of the institution, among others.
Chairman Satnam Singh Sandhu extended his heartfelt wishes and gratitude to educators for their dedication to the noble profession of teaching and their role as nation-builders. Remembering and applauding the teachers and faculty members who have been part of CGC over the years, as well as those who continue to nurture its students today, Mr. Sandhu acknowledged their invaluable contribution to shaping the glorious 25-year legacy of CGC Landran.
Addressing the faculty members on the occasion, Mr. Sandhu shared a collective vision and mandate for the CGC Landran teaching fraternity and academic leadership to work towards in the years ahead. It included taking immense pride in being a teacher; embracing change by evolving academic systems and processes, investing in AI, technology and capacity building while exploring its ethical adoption; and, above all, to understand and respond to the aspirations of students.
Dedicated to honouring educators and expressing heartfelt gratitude for their valuable contribution as nation builders, Teachers’ Day also commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a distinguished teacher and scholar who also served as India’s second President.
As CGC Landran looks towards the years ahead, may the spirit of its educators continue to inspire, guide and nurture young minds, just as generations of teachers have helped shape the institution’s journey thus far.
