Breaking: Satyendra Jain sent to judicial custody

New Delhi, August 19, 2026: The Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday sent former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain and the other accused to judicial custody in connection with the alleged irregularities in a Delhi Jal Board (DJB) tender case.
The court, however, remanded Ankit Srivastava to two days of custody with the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB).
The court will hear Jain’s bail plea on August 25.
Jain was arrested by the ACB in connection with the alleged irregularities in the DJB tender process. The case concerns alleged corruption and financial irregularities linked to the award and execution of DJB contracts.
