Sirmaur (Himachal Pradesh), August 19, 2026: Losing her father at just two-and-a-half years old could have defined Jagneet Kaur’s childhood. Instead, her journey from a difficult beginning in Mumbai to earning a PhD in Education from Eternal University, Baru Sahib, has become a story of resilience, education and determination.
According to a post shared by The Kalgidhar Society, Jagneet was raised by her mother after the loss of her father. Her life took a significant turn when Sant Baba Iqbal Singh Ji opened the doors of Baru Sahib to her family.

The organisation said the support she received at Baru Sahib went beyond education. Bhenji Charanjeet Kaur stood by her as a guide and elder-sister figure, while the sewadars at Baru Sahib provided her with a sense of family and belonging.
With that support, Jagneet went on to excel academically and emerged as a University Gold Medallist and Best All-Rounder before pursuing doctoral studies in Education.
Reflecting on her journey, Jagneet credited the environment at Baru Sahib and the support she received for encouraging her to pursue her ambitions.
“Baba Ji’s love and the environment of Baru Sahib motivated me to pursue my dreams and strive for excellence,” she said, expressing gratitude to Sant Baba Iqbal Singh Ji, Akal Academy and The Kalgidhar Trust.
Her story is a reminder that education can do more than open doors—it can help young people overcome difficult circumstances and build confidence in their own potential.
From a little girl who lost her father at an early age to a doctoral scholar and now a PhD holder, Jagneet’s journey reflects how opportunity, mentorship and determination can change the course of a life.
