Domestic LPG Cylinders Cost More as Central Government Hikes Prices by ₹29

New Delhi, June 7, 2026: In a move that is set to stretch the kitchen budgets of millions of households, the Central Government has announced a fresh hike in the prices of domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders. The price of a standard domestic gas cylinder has been increased by ₹29 with immediate effect.
This latest price revision marks the second upward escalation in domestic fuel rates since the breakout of the ongoing geopolitical conflict in West Asia. The unstable situation in the oil-producing region has continuously driven volatility in global energy markets, putting immense pressure on import costs.
With this second hike in a short span of time, consumers across the country will face a steeper financial burden. Industry experts suggest that if international crude and gas markets remain volatile due to the prolonged West Asia tensions, further fluctuations in the pricing of domestic fuel and petroleum products cannot be ruled out.
