Delhi Blast Case: MBBS Student arrested by NIA

New Delhi/Kolkata, November 15, 2025: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested an MBBS student from West Bengal’s Uttar Dinajpur in connection with the November 10 blast near Delhi’s Red Fort that claimed 13 lives.
The accused, Nisar Alam, was detained from Surajpur Bazaar based on his mobile location, officials said. He is suspected of having links with terror organisations.
Student of Al-Falah University
According to officials, Nisar Alam is a student of Al-Falah University in Haryana and has been living in Ludhiana for his studies. He had travelled to his native village, Konal near Dalkhola, to attend a wedding ceremony. It was while returning from the event that the NIA intercepted and detained him.
Attempts to Escape During Questioning
Sources claim that Nisar attempted to escape during preliminary questioning. He was then formally arrested. The NIA has seized multiple digital devices and documents from his possession as part of the probe.
He is now being taken to Siliguri for further interrogation.
Family Denies Allegations
Meanwhile, Nisar’s family has rejected the allegations, calling them “baseless.” They say he is a calm, academically focused student with no involvement in illegal activities.
Blast Investigation Continues
The November 10 blast near Red Fort resulted in 13 deaths, prompting a nationwide investigation. The NIA has been conducting searches and questioning suspects across several states.
The agency has not yet issued an official statement regarding the charges against Nisar.
