Dubai-bound flight makes emergency landing

Rajkot (Gujarat), July 27: An international flight arriving from Dubai made an emergency landing at Rajkot International Airport on Monday after smoke was reportedly detected onboard, prompting the pilot to take precautionary action.
According to initial reports, the pilot decided to land the aircraft immediately as a safety measure after smoke was noticed during the flight.
Following the emergency landing, airport authorities activated emergency safety protocols. Fire tenders, water tankers and rescue vehicles from the Rajkot Fire Brigade were deployed along the runway to respond swiftly to any untoward situation.
Senior police officials also reached the airport to oversee security arrangements and maintain law and order. Medical teams and ambulances were placed on standby to provide immediate assistance if required.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or casualties. The cause of the smoke is yet to be officially confirmed, and the incident is under investigation. Further details are awaited.
