Cockroach Janata Party warns Centre of fresh nationwide protest, alleges crackdown on student supporters

New Delhi, July 27, 2026: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has issued a fresh warning to the Central Government, alleging that authorities have violated assurances that no police action would be taken against protesters. The organisation said it would be compelled to launch another nationwide protest if the alleged crackdown continues.
In a statement posted on social media, CJP National Spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka tagged Union Health Minister JP Nadda and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, urging the government to immediately halt police action against protesters and volunteers.
Ranka alleged that hundreds of students and protesters have been arrested or subjected to surveillance in states including Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, and Delhi. He further claimed that volunteers delivering relief materials and assistance to demonstrators in Delhi were also detained by police.
The CJP alleged that such actions amount to a breach of the government's earlier commitment not to initiate police action against those participating in the protests. The organisation warned that if its demands are not addressed, it would be left with no option but to stage another nationwide agitation and sit on a dharna.
The government had not issued an immediate response to the allegations at the time of filing this report.
