Edu dept celebrates Teacher’s Day by honouring 29 Outstanding Educators

Ferozepur, September 6, 2024:In a special ceremony held at the District Administrative Complex to mark Teacher’s Day, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman honoured 29 teachers from the district with the Outstanding Teacher Award. The event, organized by the District Education Office (Secondary), was also attended by District Education Officer (Secondary) Mrs. Munila Arora and Deputy District Education Officer (Secondary) Dr. Satinder Singh, who is a National Awardee.
During the simple yet impactful ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Dhiman congratulated the teachers on Teacher’s Day, emphasizing the critical role teachers play in personal development, progress, and excellence. He highlighted that knowledge gained from teachers is essential in building a civilized society and shaping students into wise and cultured citizens. Dhiman also mentioned the efforts of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a former President of India and a distinguished teacher, in elevating the stature of teachers, noting that Teacher’s Day in India is celebrated on his birthday.
Mrs Munila Arora and Dr Satinder Singh acknowledged the honoured teachers for their contributions not only to teaching but also to school development and supporting the needs of underprivileged students. They congratulated the award recipients and encouraged them to continue working with dedication and passion.
Program Nodal In-charge and State Awardee Umesh Kumar, Headmaster, stated that the names of the outstanding teachers were selected from each block by the BEO, with two teachers representing each block. These educators have achieved excellence in their teaching careers, significantly contributing to the bright future of their students. Additionally, two principals and two headmasters were also recognized for their special contributions by the Deputy Commissioner.
