- Chandigarh: For using red beacon atop his car and violating the model code of conduct, the Election Commission of India (ECI) issued a notice to former Director General of Police (DGP), Moga, Paramdeep Singh Gill. Earlier also the Commission got certain complaints against him. \'\'Taking cognizance of complaints against Gill, we sent notice to him,\'\' said Special Punjab Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Usha R Sharma. Though the media monitoring committee of the commission has put a ban on the usage of ads with word \'kaka\', the committee is yet to decide over the matter. Divulging details regarding the advertisements, additional CEO Gurkirat Kirpal Singh said that for the time being they had put a ban on the ads with the word \'\'kaka\'\' and they would be deciding on the matter in a day or two.
