Firing outside Jail: Police cracked murder mystery in Ferozepur, held 3
Ferozepur, July 1, 2024: The Ferozepur police working actively, by forming teams of CIA staff, under the supervision of Randhir Kumar SP(I) along with Balkar Singh DSP(D) and CIA staff, in the murder case of Lalit alias Lali on June 21, solved the murder mystery with the arrest of three accused.
Lalit (38) too had a criminal background facing 8 cases including those of murder and attempted murder. He sustained gunshot injuries during the attack by three unidentified individuals. The victim, who was attacked near the Central Jail, died during treatment in the hospital. A case was registered on June 21, under Sections 307, 34 IPC and 25, 27 of the Arms Act at Ferozepur Cantt police station and Section 302 was later on added.
Divulging with the details, Soumya Mishra, SSP informed that while searching for the wanted accused in this murder and firing case, the main accused Rohit alias Nanna of Ferozepur Cantt was arrested on June 29. During the investigation, Rohit admitted that in the murder of Lalit alias Lali, his two accomplices – Yogesh alias Rinkle and Suraj alias Pinni of Ferozepur Cantt, and three more, associated with him and the pistol 30 bore used for committing a crime, had been kept hidden in his house. It is a case of personal enmity. The victim Lalli had allegedly attacked Nanna’s brother Salim following which a case was registered against him.
SSP further said, On June 29, the two accused, Rohit alias Nanna was arrested while the other two accused Suraj alias Pinni and Yogesh alias Rinkle were arrested on June 30 and two pistols 30 bore with 5 live cartridges, and one ‘desi katta’ (pistol ) 12 bore with one live cartridge were recovered from their possession.
