Former minister Birmi announces new political party (Watch Video)

Chandigarh, October 26, 2021:Former cabinet minister Malkit Singh Birmi on Tuesday announced his new political party - Punjab Lokhit Party. The Punjab Lokhit Party will contest elections on all 117 seats in 2022 assembly polls, said Birmi.
He added that their party will work mainly for the welfare of Other Backward Classes (OBC). The announcement was made in a press conference at Chandigarh Press Club here.
Talking to media, Malkit Singh Birmi said that though in majority but considering itself in minority on account of unorganised, scattered, victimised, sufferer, exploited and politically ignored, the OBC Community has decided to form a political platform to get justice.
Thirty five organisations of different categories has unanimously decided to get a political party registered in the state of Punjab. The process of holding these meetings was going on since the last more than one year. Therefore "Punjab Lokhit Party" has been formed and coming into election fray with great enthusiasm.
The group of different organization has realized that Govt policies are framed for the benefit of this particular section of the Society but the advantage does not go to the needy persons. It is enjoyed by little ineligible section of the community. Therefore the union of the organization has been formed to remove this disparity. The benefit of Govt Schemes will be ensured to go to every needy person in equal share.
The office bearers of the organization has chalked out the common agenda which shall be publicized very shortly. Malkit Singh Birmi ex Minister Punjab has unanimously been elected as President of the Political Party by the office bearers. All these organisation shall stands merged in this political party henceforth. The list of name and the designations of the office bearers of the organisations is enclosed herewith.
