Ambala (Haryana), November 22, 2024: Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister Anil Vij said that the BJP's policies and efforts have led to the formation of their government for the third consecutive time in Haryana, which he referred to as "swimming against the tide."
He also stated that he has devoted his life and energy to developing Ambala Cantonment, adding that the development here has been noticed even by outsiders.
Speaking at Grace Palace in Ambala Cantonment during the BJP Membership Drive 2024, Sh. Vij said he had previously committed to contesting the Assembly elections solely on development issues, avoiding other topics in his speeches and meetings. He also refrained from involving national leaders in his campaign, relying solely on his systematic approach and work. He claimed that no election in the country had been fought in a similar manner, and his calculations were accurate.
Vij emphasized that they would continue to develop the city, regardless of vote patterns. He added that previously stalled projects had resumed.
He declared that "We are those who can change the course of time," and expressed his unwavering faith in his team, rallying workers with the slogan "My army, long live!" The event began with a warm welcome for Minister Vij by party workers.Anil Vij stated that "Our party never sends its workers back to their barracks. As soon as one task ends, another is ready."
He acknowledged the challenges faced during the Assembly elections, as multiple forces united to defeat them. However, the strength of BJP workers overcame these challenges. Now, with the party's membership drive launched in Haryana, the BJP aims to enroll 5 million members in the state. Each Assembly constituency has been tasked with enrolling at least 20,000 members, while every parliamentary constituency must register 50,000 members. He explained that becoming a member is straightforward, as the entire process is online. Only active members, who enroll at least 50 others, can hold party positions or receive tickets according to party rules.
Vij added that new members often appreciate the party’s work and ideology, reducing the need for further persuasion during elections. This is why maximizing membership is crucial.
He urged workers to ensure that every household has multiple BJP members. Haryana has previously led in creating new members, with 14,000 already enrolled, but other districts have now overtaken Ambala. The minister stated that at least 250 members must be enrolled at every booth within three days. Booth heads, committee members, mandal heads, and other workers will coordinate this effort. Membership enrollment requires a missed call to 8800002024, followed by a link to complete registration and receive a membership card.
He emphasized the goal of ensuring BJP’s voice is heard from every home, calling this the foundation of their victory. Vij asserted that no one would surpass BJP in member enrollment, as they aim to lead in numbers.
Vij took a dig at Congress, stating that its leaders dreamt of becoming Chief Minister and had even divided ministries among themselves before the elections. Despite media skepticism, he stood firm in his belief that the BJP would form the government in Haryana for the third time. His conviction motivated party workers.
The minister said that Ambala Cantonment always excels and must not lag in the membership drive.
He urged all workers to actively participate and ensure the BJP connects with as many members as possible. He noted that the upcoming municipal elections would benefit from the current membership drive, adding that the BJP aims to elect its Chairman.
Vij expressed regret that the lack of municipal elections had hindered development, as they would have gained 32 councilors to manage local work.
The event was attended by prominent BJP leaders, including Om Sehgal, Rajiv Gupta Dimple, Kiranpal Chauhan, Vijender Chauhan, Balwinder Shahpur, B.S. Bindra, Sanjeev Soni, Shyam Sundar Arora, Narendra Rana, Rambabu Yadav, Lalta Prasad, and many others.
