Governor Bandaru Dattatraya offers prayers at Saketri temple on Mahashivratri

Chandigarh, February 26, 2025 - Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya along with his family prayed at the ancient temple of Saketri on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri and wished for happiness, prosperity, and well-being for the people of the state.
While talking to mediapersons, the Governor said 67 crore people have taken bath in the Mahakumbh. It seems that the spirit of spirituality is increasing at the global level. This is a unique confluence in the world.
The Governor expressed hope that spiritual power will spread all over the world and India will once again emerge as a world leader for peace.
He said Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has set the goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’, and everyone should become a partner in it. Similarly, Haryana should also become a prosperous state and the farmers and poor people of Haryana should live in peace and harmony.
The Governor said the name of Om is a power. This power brings goodwill in a man. He said we get this power from Lord Shiva. Let it come in everyone's life, this is the basic mantra of today. Family members Bandaru Shiv Shankar, Bandaru Dinesh Kumar and Bandaru Vinod Kumar were present with the Governor.
Head of Navdurga Charitable Trust, Shiv Mandir Sektari, KD Sharma and Deputy Head Rakesh Sangar presented a statue of Lord Shiva to the Governor as a mark of respect.
Trust's General Secretary Vinod Sharma, DCP Himadri Kaushik, ADC Nisha Yadav, SDM Chandrakant Kataria and other officers and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
