MLBF organises Elders Day celebrations, SSP felicitates elderly citizens
Ferozepur, November 8, 2025: The Mohan Lal Bhaskar Foundation (MLBF) organised an inspiring “Elders’ Day Celebration” at Vivekananda Junior–Primary School, Ferozepur, to honour the invaluable contribution of senior citizens — the true custodians of wisdom, experience, and moral strength. The event radiated devotion, love, and respect, emphasising that a progressive society is built upon reverence for its elders.
The program began with a touching welcome song by the young students of Vivekananda World School, dedicated to their grandparents. Their melodious voices filled the venue with warmth and emotion, symbolizing a bridge of love between generations.
Chief Guest Bhupinder Singh Sidhu, SSP, Ferozepur and Mrs. Karamjeet Kaur, wife of Late Manminder Singh (Former SSP, Ferozepur), graced the occasion and, along with foundation members, felicitated several elderly citizens for their lifelong service and wisdom.
Among those honoured were Tilak Raj Arora, Radhey Mohan, Amarnath Sood, Hans Raj, Rajrani, Sudesh Sharma, Jai Prakash Garg, Suresh Sharma, and Subhash Chaudhary — all recognized for their contributions to society through various walks of life.
Foundation member Santokh Singh highlighted that elders are moral beacons whose patience and foresight guide the younger generation, reminding all that in an age of technology, emotional connection and respect for human values must remain central. Elders shared life lessons of perseverance and humility, inspiring the youth to uphold family and cultural values.
Certificates of honour were presented to all participants, and the audience lauded the Foundation’s noble initiative. Prof. Gurtej Koharwala aptly remarked that societies flourish when they draw strength from the blessings and experiences of their elders.
The event was not only about honouring elders but also about preserving the invaluable heritage of our culture that continues to guide future generations toward the right path.
Mehar Mal, Harsh Arora, Shalinder Bhalla, Jhalakeshwar Bhaskar, Dr. K. C. Arora, Sumesh Gumber, Ashok Sharma, Vipan Garg, Amit Dhawan, Arun Chharia, and Paramvir Sharma were also present at the program.
