Railway announces Amritsar–New Tinsukia Eid Special Train
Ferozepur, March 21, 2026: To manage the festive rush during Eid-ul-Fitr, Northern Railway has announced the operation of a special reserved train between Amritsar and New Tinsukia.
According to the official notification, Train No. 04626/04625 Amritsar–New Tinsukia–Amritsar Reserved Special Express will run one trip in each direction. The train will depart from Amritsar on March 22, 2026, and from New Tinsukia on March 26, 2026.
The train will have a mixed composition of AC, sleeper, and general coaches to cater to passengers across categories.
En route, the train will halt at several important stations including Beas, Jalandhar City, Ambala Cantt, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Varanasi, Chhapra, Muzaffarpur, Barauni, Katihar, New Jalpaiguri, New Cooch Behar, New Bongaigaon, Rangiya, and Dibrugarh before reaching New Tinsukia.
Railway authorities stated that the special service aims to provide facilities to passengers and ease congestion during the festive period. Passengers are advised to check updates through NTES or by dialing 139 for real-time information.
