Manish Sisodia pays floral tributes to martyrs at National Martyrs Memorial at Hussainiwala
Ferozepur, March 21, 2026: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab in-charge and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia visited the Hussainiwala Shaheedi Samarak (National Martyrs Memorial) here today to pay homage to the martyrs.
Sisodia offered tributes by laying floral wreaths and bowing his head at the samadhis (memorials) of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru, and Shaheed Sukhdev. He also paid respects at the memorials of Bhagat Singh’s mother, Vidyavati, and Batukeshwar Dutt.
Speaking on the occasion, Sisodia said he was passing through the Ferozepur area when he felt compelled to visit the site and bow before the martyrs whose sacrifices enabled the nation to breathe in freedom today. “We must all draw inspiration from them and work tirelessly for the country’s progress and success,” he added.
Later, Sisodia witnessed the Beating Retreat ceremony at the India-Pakistan border and interacted with Indian Army jawans stationed there. He praised the soldiers for their round-the-clock duty along the borders, stating, “It is because of our brave jawans guarding the frontiers day and night that we can sleep peacefully in our homes. The nation owes them immense pride and gratitude.”
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Ferozepur City MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar, Zira MLA Naresh Kataria, Deputy Commissioner Deepshikha Sharma, SSP Bhupinder Singh, Chairman Punjab BC Commission Dr. Malkit Thind, Chairman Punjab Agro Shaminder Khinda, Chairman District Planning Board Harjinder Ghanga, and other prominent personalities.
