Senior AAP leader Kulwant Singh elected PCA Secretary

Chandigarh, July 12, 2025 - Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and MLA from Mohali Kulwant Singh, was today elected as the Secretary of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA).
Kulwant Singh, 63, is a renowned real estate developer who has provided residential homes for thousands of people as well as commercial and industrial facilities.
On July 4, he filed his nomination papers for the PCA elections. He said, "Wherever I have worked, I have given my best. I will do a good job in the PCA as well. I will work with full dedication for the better development of this esteemed sports organization."
After winning the election, Kulwant Singh met Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal. He said that initial discussions were held with the party chief for reforming the PCA.
Kulwant Singh's political journey began in 1995 when he won the Mohali Municipal Council elections from Ward No. 21 and became the President of the Municipal Council.
Kulwant Singh, a former MLA and mayor of Mohali, had contested the Lok Sabha elections from Fatehgarh Sahib on an Akali-BJP alliance ticket in 2014 but failed to win. In March 2022, he won the election from SAS Nagar assembly constituency on an Aam Aadmi Party ticket, defeating Congress leader Balbir Singh Sidhu by 34,097 votes.
