Sports activities organised under'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, March 25, 2026: In a proactive step towards building a drug-free society, the Department of Social Security, Women and Child Development, Punjab, organised a series of sports activities under the "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiya" at village Bare Ke near Ferozepur. The event was conducted under the supervision of District Social Security Officer Rachika Nanda, in collaboration with the Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev Memorial Society.
The initiative aimed to engage youth in constructive and healthy pursuits while spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse. Young participants were encouraged to adopt a disciplined lifestyle, stay away from intoxicants, and actively participate in sports for physical and mental well-being.
A variety of sports competitions, including kabaddi, long jump, and wrestling, were organised, witnessing enthusiastic participation from local youth. The activities not only promoted fitness and teamwork but also served as an effective medium to channelize the energy of young individuals in a positive direction.
Addressing the gathering, organizers emphasized the importance of community involvement in eradicating the menace of drugs and fostering a healthier society. Winners of the competitions were felicitated with prizes at the end of the event.
