6 UT officers appointed Executive Magistrates keeping in view the farmers protest
Chandigarh, June 25, 2021:
In view of farmers' protest in Chandigarh on June 26, the Chandigarh administration has tightened the security at its major borders.
The district magistrate in its recent order, assigned duties of six executive magistrates on major entry/exit points of the city. Also, the DM directed the SDMs to keep a vigil eye in their respective areas to maintain law and order in the city.
It is worth mentioning here that the farmers’ unions have decided to march towards Governor Houses of Punjab and Haryana.
