Chandigarh, July 18, 2025: The Department of Public Relations, Chandigarh Administration, has issued an appeal to all migrant electors from Bihar currently residing in Chandigarh to actively participate in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) – 2025 of the electoral rolls.
Under the direct guidance of the Election Commission of India, the enumeration drive in Bihar is making steady progress, with over 90% of elector forms already received.
Only 5.8% of electors remain to be covered, excluding cases of deceased, shifted, or duplicate voters. The target is to complete this phase by July 25, 2025.
To ensure no eligible voter is left behind, special efforts are being made to include migrant voters residing outside Bihar. Those living in Chandigarh can fill out their Enumeration Forms online via the official portal voters.eci.gov.in or the ECINET mobile app.
Alternatively, they may download the pre-filled form, attach necessary documents, and send it via WhatsApp to family members in Bihar or directly to the concerned Booth Level Officer (BLO). A QR code has also been provided for easy access to the form.
