Chandigarh, November 6, 2024 - Haryana's Energy, Transport, and Labor Minister Anil Vij today sharply reacted to Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a habit of speaking in a roundabout way.
Vij retorted that speaking indirectly is ingrained in Congress's DNA. Additionally, he announced that a study would be conducted to set up a separate corporation for inspecting food items at bus stands, similar to the setup in the railway system.
While speaking to media persons today, Cabinet Minister Anil Vij mentioned that Congress had made numerous promises of free schemes in Himachal Pradesh, but now the state government does not even have enough funds to pay salaries to its employees.
"On one hand, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has built millions of toilets nationwide, while on the other, the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh wants to earn money by imposing taxes on toilets," he said.
Regarding the newly elected Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah’s comment that if the BJP had adopted former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's approach, the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir would be different, Anil Vij responded and said that from the time of the Jana Sangh founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee to the present day, the BJP has had a single ideology concerning Jammu and Kashmir.
From the start, we were against the existence of ‘Do Vidhan and Do Nishan’ in one country. Our popular Prime Minister Narendra Modi has abrogated Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.
Congress wants to divide the country’s people again by conducting a caste-based census- Vij
In response to another question, Anil Vij said that Congress has a history of discriminatory philosophy. It was Congress that partitioned the country based on religion, leading to the creation of Pakistan, in which ten lakh (one million) people were killed. The massacre of Sikhs was also based on discrimination, and Rajiv Gandhi had infamously said, "When a big tree falls, the earth shakes."
Anil Vij claimed that Congress now wants to conduct a caste-based census to incite divisions among the people again. He advised Rahul Gandhi to stop his "business of division," claiming that Rahul Gandhi holds a PhD in division. He also criticized Rahul Gandhi for making an anti-reservation statement abroad, which he called shameful.
A study will be conducted to establish a separate corporation for inspecting food and drink items at bus stands, similar to the railways- Vij
Orders have been given to ensure proper facilities at state bus stands, such as cleanliness, seating areas for passengers, clean toilets and drinking water.Vij stated that he has written to the health department for random sampling of food items sold at bus stands to ensure quality for travelers.
Similar to the railway system, which has its own corporation for food inspections, he has asked officials to study and implement a similar structure for Haryana’s bus stands.
